![]() ![]() VFD is a techniques used to control the speed of AC induction motors by changing the supply frequency. ![]() To reduced these current by using variable frequency drive (VFD). A problem related with these induction motors that is, large starting inrush current due to this current power consumption increased. It has been stated that most of the energy in industry is consumed by AC motors. Electrical Energy conservation in the field of Induction Motor is important as two-third of world's electricity consumption is done by using Induction Motor. Authors are hopeful to provide useful information for future variable speed drive applications like fans, pumps, chillers, ventilators and heaters Subsequently, economic analysis, payback period and the effect of current and voltage harmonics generated by VSDs are presented. The aim is to identify energy saving opportunities and incorporated costs of applying variable speed drives to the existing applications of electrical motors. This paper is a comprehensive review on applications of VSD in electrical motors energy savings. Variable speed drive technology and the importance of controlling the speed of existing motors have fascinated many attentions in the last years with the advent of new power devices and magnetic materials. Effects of applying VSDs are in both productivity improvements and energy savings in pumps, fans, compressors and other equipment. A variable speed drive (VSD) is a device that regulates the speed and rotational force, or output torque of mechanical equipment. Most motors are designed to operate at a constant speed and provide a constant output however, modern technology requires different speeds in many applications where electric motors are used. 111 4.1 Set Up and Maintenance - Overview. 44 2.4.8 Automatic Update of Spindle software. 43 2.4.7 Automatic Update of Servo software. 43 2.4.5 Updating a system with new software. 41 2.4.3 Replacement of the System TC and Backup TC. 40Ģ.4 Automatic update of TC, Servo and Spindle. ![]() 19 1.2.2.2 Valve Lash Gauging Application. 18ġ.2.2.1 Torque To Turn Gauging Application. 16 1.1.2 Intelligent tightening controllers, TCs. 15 1.1.1 ToolsTalk PowerMACS, the friendly user interface. ![]()
